Why should we care about IoT?
The Internet has been around for a while now, but it has been mostly the product of the people, so all the data and images and recording and games books and commerce and all of that was created by the people for people and about people. The Internet is one of the most important and transformative technologies ever invented. The internet is like a digital fabric that’s woven into the lives of all of us in one way than another. The internet people change the world well there’s a new internet emerging and it’s poised to change the world again. The new internet is not just about connecting people it’s about connecting things, so it’s named Internet of Things (IoT). Big deal!!! As these things start to share their experience with other things. So what is even the importance of IoT? It works like this, you take the things and then you add an ability to them such as sense, communicate, touch, control thus giving them the opportunity got things to interact and collaborate with other things. We, humans, interact and communicate using 5 senses, so imagine the possibility if the things can do the same. Let us get ourselves an example, say smartphone, today’s smartphone has so many senses. They know where you are, it knows if you are moving, it knows how you are holding it, it knows how much there is light in the room and so much that an entire piece can be written on it.
Introduction to Importance of IoT
Who Cares About IoT?
The answer is simple, big business cares and they care to the tune of billions of dollars. These big businesses making huge investments in different sectors say farms on the Internet of things. Samsung, they purchased a company “Smart Things” for two hundred million dollars to showcase how big brands spend ton on evolving the Internet of Things. We can expect slews of app and products in the upcoming age that will target home and wellness. The Internet of things was born at a time where there are more things on the Internet than people and today there are almost 10 billion devices, things on the Internet. This will erupt billions of dollars of economic growth in utilities, automotive, electronics, and healthcare.
Why You Should Care about Iot?
Well, we all want to live better lives and the technologies that are inherited in the Internet of Things like the ability to sense, communicate and acquire data and so on will us build process and systems that will deliver better healthcare through remote diagnostics and monitoring and build a safer environment on the way.
