On not-working day, not weekends, I use my laptop for playing games, social media activity and watching movies. In course of time, I felt laptop is too heavy and it doesn’t gives much comfort to use. So I bought a tablet computer(Lenovo YOGA 2). It comes with a stand in the back side of it, which helps to place or hang on a table or wall.
Everything was okay. But all my movies are in my external hard drive. How do I connect it with my tablet computer? Simple. Here what I did.
I bought a Micro USB male to USB-A female cable(USB OTG cable only) from Flipkart. Now I can connect my external hard drive to the tablet computer using the USB OTG cable. But the tablet computer won’t detect the external hard drive because the file system is NTFS and Android supports FAT32 now. No problem still, I just reformatted the hard drive to Fat32 using GParted(Reference) tool on Linux. Make sure you have taken the backup before reformatting the hard disk. And dont’t forget to restore the data on to the external hard drive.
Now the external hard drive would detect on my tablet computer. Voila 🙂
