Food, clothing, shelter, water, air, and INTERNET…wait, did you read that too? Yes, Internet is the new entrant to the basic necessities for survival for every individual in the 20th century. But we do compromise on certain things, right? But according to Akamai Technologies, a meager 6.5Mbps average speed is what India is feeding on. Well, that’s how India ranked at the 89th position in the international broadband speed index recently. But surprisingly, India is at the 2nd position when it comes to the number of users, precisely standing at 462,124,989 out of the entire population. Having such a large user base but yet helpless in the hands of bad internet connections is a terrible curse to the nation!
Even lately the growth of the broadband sector hasn’t been encouraging either. Evidently, only the corporate solutions provided by huge market players like Airtel, Hathway, and ACT fiber net lend a few heavy numbers to enhance the internet speed. It is true that we have come a long way through the dial up days of yore; it is indeed of little solace when the normal pace is sprinting away as we take baby steps.
It is not only affecting the urban population of the country but as you move away from the urban limits, even the rural population finds it difficult to access internet of good speed. The rural population of India has estimated for 70% over the total population and still, the internet penetration is surprisingly below 10% in these areas. It is evident that this deficit in internet connectivity cannot be replaced by wired broadband connections; as it practically would be expensive and an infrastructural feat if ever it were plausible.
There is still hope and faith for uninterrupted internet connection and connection on the go in the name of Zifilink, the greatest and the most affordable innovations of all time. Having industry giants like Doordarshan and ABP News using Zifilink on the go is certainly to notice. It can connect up to eight dongles of any 3G or 4G network powered. Make the switch to the betterment and enjoy hassle free internet.
